Whitsunday Camels Pty Ltd was established by Flynn Moustafa and his family with an aim to provide a unique and informative themed Camel Rides and Treks in the Whitsunday’s and Bowen.
Flynn Moustafa is the qualified camel trainer and has 15 Camels at present including two Feral Camels, Shrek and Paradise that Flynn has trained after obtaining them form the South Australian desert.
Seven of the Camels, Barney, Wacko, Nardoo, Harry, Thelma, Sally and Pindan have been involved with doing rides and Treks in the Simpson Desert in South Australia with the famous cameleer Rex Ellis. All these Camels have all had a varied and advanced work history and are extremely reliable, friendly and excellent to work with and ride. These Camels will delight you with their good nature and stature. Our camels do not spit or bite and love to be cuddled and patted.
There are currently 6 other feral Camels that originated from Toowoomba which are currently in the first stages of work to bring them from a feral animal to a polished performer for Riding and Treks.
Whitsunday Camels Pty Ltd aims to expand people’s perception about Camels and to bring a totally new experience to the region with Rides and Treks on the Airlie Beach Foreshore and of the large expanses of the Bowen Foreshore.
Treks will be conducted on private land giving the Rider a unique Australian Bush experience and on Queens Beach in Bowen. We also run camel training courses twice a year.
Whitsunday Camels Pty Ltd aim the Whitsundays and Bowen to become synonymous with Camel Rides to rival Cable Beach in Western Australia.
